CDL Driver - Local Steel hauling

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dependable CDL driver to join our team for a local steel hauling position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience hauling steel and wide loads, with extensive knowledge of load securement using straps and chains.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a tractor-trailer for daily local deliveries
Safely transport steel and oversized loads within a 150-mile radius
Ensure proper load securement using approved methods
Maintain accurate logs and paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations
Adhere to company schedule with a required start time of 6:00 AM

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of recent CDL driving experience hauling steel and wide loads
Clean driving record for the past 5 years – no overturned vehicle history will be considered
Familiarity with surrounding counties: Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, Manatee, and Pasco
Valid CDL with current medical card
Strong working knowledge of proper load securement (straps and chains)
Punctual, professional, and safety-focused

Preferred (Not Required):

HAZMAT endorsement
Doubles/Triples endorsement
Tanker endorsement
