JOB DESCRIPTION: Facility Maintenance Technician

Essential Functions:

Job requires being able to work in an open air environment during many types of weather conditions.

 This is a physically intensive job that many hours of standing along with stooping, bending, lifting and reaching.

Support all Precision Build Company Safety Policies to ensure they are followed.

Work with Maintenance Manager to coordinate repair of equipment based on production’s needs and safety requirements.       

 Must be able to be certified and operate various types of equipment (IE: Forklifts, Aerial Lifts, etc.)

 Ensure that all equipment is repaired to original safety standard. Use established procedure of equipment repair requests/Tag Procedure.

  Perform preventive maintenance and minor to medium repairs on shop and yard equipment.

Quality Standards

Must be able to understand maintenance manuals, codes and diagrams

Teamwork

Actively participate in all Safety meetings.

Work with and cooperate with all foremen and maintenance personnel.

       An individual must be able to perform each essential duty above average and always represent the company in a professional manner. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

This position will work with the Facility Maintenance Manager, and Shop Foremen in a Continuous Improvement Environment with a focus on Safety, People, Quality and Cost Controls.

Must have a good knowledge and understanding of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and burning equipment, plumbing, compressors, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, forklifts, and trucks and trailers.

This position reports directly to facilities’ maintenance manager.
