CDL Driver - Local Steel hauling

Gibsonton, FL - Full Time

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dependable CDL driver to join our team for a local steel hauling position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience hauling steel and wide loads, with extensive knowledge of load securement using straps and chains.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer for daily local deliveries
  • Safely transport steel and oversized loads within a 150-mile radius
  • Ensure proper load securement using approved methods
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Adhere to company schedule with a required start time of 6:00 AM
     Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of recent CDL driving experience hauling steel and wide loads
  • Clean driving record for the past 5 years – no overturned vehicle history will be considered
  • Familiarity with surrounding counties: Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, Manatee, and Pasco
  • Valid CDL with current medical card
  • Strong working knowledge of proper load securement (straps and chains)
  • Punctual, professional, and safety-focused
     Preferred (Not Required):
  • HAZMAT endorsement
  • Doubles/Triples endorsement
  • Tanker endorsement
