Title: Human Resources/Benefits Assistant Precision Build Companies, LLC is seeking a Rockstar Human Resource & Benefits Assistant to join their amazing HR team! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing broad-range support in all functional areas of the human resources department including personnel records, benefits administration, payroll processing assistance, and HRIS systems. The position assists in supporting an employee base of over 300 employees across 3 companies. Ideal candidates will have experience in benefits and payroll systems, and have a super keen eye for details, along with strong computer skills. The successful applicant works under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources. This is an in-house, full-time, hourly position, 8:00 to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities:
Day to Day HR Administration, assists with full employee lifecycle processes and HR projects
Maintains electronic personnel records, HRIS database and reporting
Serves as Benefits Specialist – inputs employee additions, deletions and changes
Ensures all deductions are accurately in Payroll and enrollments are forwarded to carriers/broker
Audits monthly carrier bills and employee payroll deductions
Works with the HR Director to complete the benefits renewal process and Open Enrollments
Maintains a benefits program portfolio that supports the company’s Total Rewards strategy for innovative health, well-being, leave of absence, and retirement plans.
Maintains the proper administration and implementation of the company’s health and retirement benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD, 401k, etc.) in accordance with policies and procedures while ensuring legal compliance with government regulations (COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, Section 125, etc.)
Collaborates with benefits vendors to solve employee benefits issues
Manages benefits processes and events (enrollments, benefits administration, leave management, retirement, and related communications); identify and implement innovative solutions that support continuous improvement
Optimizes technology to manage benefits processes and communications with participants and spouses; provide clear information that conveys value to the employees (i.e., Total Rewards)
Maintains benefits communication and education program and plan to enhance employee understanding of benefit programs
Asssits in the communication of benefit plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and required postings
Supports the planning, administration and communication of annual open enrollment, and other benefits changes throughout the year
Audits all employee paperwork to ensure all necessary documents are completed and updated on HRIS
Supports performance management processes and employee relations
Assists in processing new hire paperwork
May conduct exit interviews
Follows all company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Cultivates Precision Build work culture & employee engagement
Acts as back up for Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator, as needed.
Assists with Accounting projects, as needed
Performs all other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years HR or Payroll experience with exposure to benefits administration
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Knowledge of wage & hour, employment & benefits laws and regulations
Payroll software proficiency
HRIS software proficiency
MS Office experience
Strong Excel skills
Strong organizational skills
Accounting mindset
Associate’s degree, preferred, but not required
